SUBJECT: APPROVAL OF THE PURCHASE OF FURNITURE AND FIXTURES FOR
THE ANIMAL SERVICES FACILITY
RECOMMENDATION: City to consider approval of the purchase of furniture and fixtures for the
Animal Services Facility from GL Seaman and Company.
FUNDING SOURCE: Funds are available in the Capital Equipment Fund 325 for an estimated
amount of $30,000.
BACKGROUND: The purchase is part of the overall project budget from the November 7,
2017 Bond Election. The furniture and fixture purchases are for the new
Animal Services Facility. The project scope and budget provided for the
acquisition of several owner furnished -owner installed items as a way to
reduce overall project costs.
Bids were taken by the Cooperative and a contract was awarded to GL
Seaman & Company. The Police and Purchasing staff reviewed the
contract for specification compliance and pricing and determined that the
contract would provide the best service and pricing for meeting the needs
of the City.
Staff recommends approval.
