A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS , AUTHORIZING THE
REALLOCATION OF TARRANT COUNTY COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM (CDBG) FUNDS
FOR THE EXPANSION OF THE SENIOR CITIZENS
CENTER AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE

WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine, Texas, has conducted a
,�m� reassessment of the needs of the community in this particular
grant year and has identified a need for the expansion of the
City of Grapevine' s Senior Citizens Center; and
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine has allocated funding for the
expansion of the Senior Citizens Center which is used by
Grapevine residents and requires additional space to meet the
needs of the citizens of this community; and
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine has previously allocated
funding in the 15th year of the Tarrant County Community
Development Block Grant Program for water and sewer improvements
within the community; and
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine is required to conduct a
public hearing in accordance with federal laws for the
reallocation of water and sewer improvement funds from the
Tarrant County Community Development Block Grant for the
expansion of the Senior Citizens Center.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:

Section 1 . That the City Council of the City of Grapevine,
Texas, duly conducted a public hearing in accordance with federal
laws for the reallocation of funds from the Tarrant County
Community Development Block Grant Program.
Section 2. That the City Council hereby authorizes the
amendment and reallocation of the City' s share of the Community
Development Block Grant Program' s 15th Year funds to provide the
support and funding for the expansion of the City of Grapevine' s
Senior Citizens Center.
Section 3 . That this resolution shall take effect from and
after the date of its passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 26th day of September , 1989 .
