f The City Council of the City of Grapevine, Texas convened
� in special session on this the 27th day of June, 1977 at
� 6:00 P.M. with the following members present to-wit:
i
William D. Tate Mayor
Charles Dunn Councilman
Larry Oliver Councilman
� Willis Pirkle Councilman
David Florence Councilman
� Charles Gideon Councilman
constituting a quorum with Councilman Doil Dalton absent,
with
Floy T. Ezell City Manager
j Shirley Armstrong City Secretary

�� with Assistant City Manager Jim Hancock and City Attorney
John Boyle absent.

{ Mayor Tate called the meeting to order.

j The Invocation was delivered by Councilman Florence.
The first order of business was for the City Council to
; have a clased executive session for the purpose of
� discussing the purchase of real estate pursuant to
J Article 6252-17, Section 2 (f) , Texas Civil Statutes.
,
Mayor Tate again called the meeting to order in open
session at 6:07 P.M. with the same members being present.
Councilman Dunn then made a motion to authorize Mr. Ezell
to purchase 4. 75 acres of land adjacent to Heritage Park
from the Corbin Estate for a sum of $5, 000 an acre. The
' motion was seconded by Councilman Pirkle. Councilman Dunn
i
then amended his motion to include authorizing the Mayor
to sign the necessary papers relating to said purchase.
Councilman Pirkle agreed to the amendment and it prevailed
by the following vote:

, Ayes: Tate, Gideon, Florence, Oliver, Pirkle, and Dunn
� Nays : None
Absent:Mayor Pro-tem Dalton

There being no further business to come before the Council,
Councilman Florence made a motion to adjourn. The motion
was seconded by Councilman Oliver and all present voted aye.
