A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF OF
POLICE AND THE DEPUTY CHIEF TO SUBMIT
APPLICATIONS TO THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF
HIGHWAYS AND PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION AS
REQUIRED BY ARTICLE V.C.S. 6701m-2 FOR EXEMPT
VEHICLE LICENSE PLATES
,;, WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine, Texas adopted Ordinance
No. 87-64 on October 6, 1987 allowing certain police department
vehicles be exempt from identification under Article V.C.S.
6701m-2 .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1 . That the City Council has determined that
certain police department vehicles, when used in the performance
of official duties, are exempt under Article V.C.S. 6701m-2 from
identification.
Section 2 . That the City Council authorizes Police Chief
H.A. Deggans and Deputy Chief Grady Lewis to sign the forms
required to be submitted for registration requesting regular
license plates for exempt vehicles.
Section 3 . That the City Council requests the State
Department of Highways and Public Transportation issue regular
license plates upon submittal of the proper application for
exempt vehicles.
� Section 4 . That the Police Chief forward a copy of this
resolution along with the application for registration requesting
regular plates for exempt vehicles to the State Department of
Highways and Public Transportation.
Section 5. That this resolution shall be effective from and
after its date of passage.
I PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 15th day of December , 1987.
