A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, MAKING OFFICIAL THE
FINDING AND DETERMINATION AS TO THE
"�" POPULATION AND NUMBER OF INHABITANTS OF AND
WITHIN THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, AS OF
JANUARY 1, 1988
�
WHEREAS, the City Council of Grapevine, Texas has found and
determined that it will be for the benefit of said City to have a
revised estimate of the population and number of inhabitants, and
that the City make an official finding thereof; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has directed that an unofficial
census of the population of the City of Grapevine be taken; and
WHEREAS, based upon the 1980 Census Report, City building
records, and the investigation and review of the City' s growth by
that the City of Grapevine, Texas, as of January 1 , 1988 actually
has within its limits a population of 26, 260.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section l . That the City Council has officially found and
determined, and does now find and determine, that the population
� M of the City of Grapevine, Texas, as of the lst day of January,
1988 is 26, 260.

Section 2 . And further, the said City Council now orders
and directs that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the
Texas Highway Department so that they may change the population
signs on the roads and highways entering and leaving said City of
Grapevine, Texas.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 5th day of January , 1988.
