RESOLUTION NO. ��-07
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, REPEALING RESOLUTION
NO. 88-05 AND CONFIRMING THAT ENTIRE CITY
CONSTITUTES ONE ELECTION PRECINCT FOR CITY
ELECTIONS; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

WHEREAS, on August 31, 1987, the Commissioners ' Court of
Tarrant County revised the Justice of the Peace Precincts and
``"`� Tarrant County Voter Precinct Lines as proposed by the
Elections Administrator, adding Precinct No. 3360 and Precinct
No. 3361, and revised the boundaries of Precinct No. 3035,
Precinct No. 3321, Precinct No. 3114, and Precinct No. 3038; and
WHEREAS, on February 2, 1987, the City Council of the
City of Grapevine, Texas (the "City.' ) adopted Resolution 88-05
adopting Tarrant County Voter Precinct Nos . 3035, 3038, 3114,
3321, 3360 and 3361, to the extent such precincts were located
within the City limits, as the City election precincts; and
WHEREAS, the City has one election precinct, the
boundaries of which are coterminous with the territorial
boundaries of the City and incorporates the Tarrant County
Voter Precincts, to the extent they are located in the City,
into the City' s precinct; and
WHEREAS, upon the adoption of Resolution No . 88-05, the
City Council intended to maintain and hereby desires to
continue having one election precinct in the City thereby
enabling the City to have one polling place; and

WHEREAS, the City Council hereby finds and concludes it
is necessary to repeal Resolution No. 88-05 to correct the
'�°�` inadvertent error made in Resolution No. 88-05 in adopting the
Tarrant County Voter Precincts as the City' s election precincts
and adopt this Resolution; and
WHEREAS, it is unnecessary to make a submission to the
United States Department of Justice to seek preclearance
approval of the City election precinct which constitutes the
entire City because there has been no change.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE. CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS :
Section 1 . That all of the above premises are found to
be true and correct and are incorporated into the body of this
Resolution as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2 . That Resolution No. 88-05, establishing
Precinct Nos . 3035, 3038, 3114, 3221, 3360 and 3361 as the
voting precincts for municipal elections of the City, be and is
hereby repealed. -
�•-� Section 3 . That the entire City constitutes one
election precinct, the boundaries of which are coterminous with
the territorial boundaries of the City and incorporate the
Tarrant County Voter Precincts to the extent such Tarrant
County Voter Precincts are located within the City.
Section 4 . That the City election precinct established
in Section 2 hereof shall remain the City election precinct

speci£ically including Sections 42 . 061 and 43 . 001 of the Texas
Election Code.
Section 6 . TYiat this Resolution shall be effective
from and after the date of its passage.
