A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, SUPPORTING AND DECLARING
� � THE WEEK OF MAY 2-8, 1988 AS WATER UTILITIES
AWARENESS WEEK
�� WHEREAS, it is recognized that water is an extremely
precious natural resource, second only to air in sustaining life;
and
WHEREAS, water is a non-replenishing resource which requires
constant recycling by highly trained professionals, such as
engineers, chemists, hydrologists, water and wastewater facility
operators, to ensure plentiful amounts for future use; and
WHEREAS, the Grapevine City Council wishes to recognize and
highlight the role of our local water and wastewater
professionals in providing an abundant supply of safe and quality
water for the citizens to enable them to maintain their continued
good health, comfort and standard of living.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section l . That the Grapevine City Council does hereby
� w support and declare the week of May 2-8, 1988 as Water Utilities
Awareness Week in the City of Grapevine.

Section 2 . That all citizens of the City of Grapevine are
encouraged to make themselves more aware of the importance and
efforts made by those involved in the water and wastewater
professions to ensure the safety and quality of our water supply.
