A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS AUTHORIZING THE
CHIEF OF POLICE TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION
TO THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE DIVISION FOR A
COMMUNITY SERVICES OFFICER GRANT

WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine is located in one of the
fastest growing metropolitan areas in the United States; and
�
WHEREAS, the citizens of Grapevine require regulation of
consumer services; and
WHEREAS, the effective regulation of consumer services
requires a uniformity of action; and
WHEREAS, the Criminal Justice Division, through grants, will
provide funding for programs designed to assist cities in the
uniformity of regulatory action.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS :
Section 1 . That the Chief of Police is hereby authorized to
submit an application to the Criminal Justice Division for a
Community Services Officer Grant.
Section 2. That the City of Grapevine understands that, if
approved, the Criminal Justice Division will provide ninety-five
�� percent (95a) of the funding with the other five percent (5g)
being provided by the City of Grapevine for the period of one (1)
� year.
