A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, ACCEPTING THE
PROVISIONS CONTAINED IN STATE DEPARTMENT
OF HIGHWAYS AND PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
MINUTE ORDER N0. 84425 PASSED ON
APRIL 29, 1986, FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF
STATE HIGHWAY 26 FROM LOOP 382 TO STATE
HIGHWAY 121; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE

WHEREAS, the State Department of Highways and Public Trans-
portation of the State of Texas, the County of Tarrant, Texas,
and the City of Grapevine, Texas are desirous of making improve-
ments to State Highway 26 from Loop 382 northeast to State
Highway 121; and
WHEREAS, the State Department of Highways and Public Trans-
portation Commission has approved the proposal for improvements
as stated in Minute Order No. 84425 provided that local County
and City officials agree to the proposal within 90 days of
April 29 , 1986.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1 . That the City Council of the City of Grapevine,
Texas, accepts the provisions contained in State Department of
�•� Highways and Public Transportation Minute Order No. 84425
(attached hereto and made a part hereof as Exhibit "A") , which
was passed by the State Department of Highways and Public
Transportation Commission on April 29, 1986, for the improvement
of State Highway 26 from Loop 382 northeast to State Highway 121 .
Section 2 . That this Resolution shall be effective from and
after the date of its passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 20th day of May, 1986.

3. Maintain that portion of the �vorlt which is its responsibility in accordance
�rith present maintenance agreer.�ents, and agree to regulate traffic and pre-
vent encroachnent on the rigbt of �ay, all in accordance with governing
poiicies and regulations of the Depart�ent. " '
The State Departr�ent of Higha�ays and Public Transpor�atian 41i11 :
� 1. Provide for construction at an estinated cost of 4,300,000.
2. Provide relocation assistance as rnay be determined to be eligib�e under
the Relocation Assistance Program at an estinated cost af $5,0�0.
�"° 3. Maintain that portion of the �ork which is its responsibility i�
accordance with present maintenance agr�er€�nts.

Upon acceptance of the p�ovisions of this Order by the appropria�e of�Ficials of t{�e
County and City, the Engineer-Director is directed to proceed v�ith development of
plans for coRstruction and after the County and City have fulTill�d their respon-
si bi 1 i ti es, proceed t,ri th constructi on i n the �st feasi bl e and economical r:�anner
financing the cost with gunds previousiy approved in the 4 Year Letting Sci�edule�of
the 10 Year Project Develop�ent Plan. �
This Ordzr shall becom2 operative upon acceptance by Tarrar�t County and the City of
Grapevine and if not accepted N�i�hin 90 days of the date hereof, the action contained
i�erein shail be autoraatically cancelled. •
