A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS EXPRESSING
APPRECIATION FOR THE ASSISTANCE AND
SERVICE OF MR. JERRY BRITE
��a WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Grapevine, Texas is
desirous of expressing their appreciation to Mr. Jerry Brite,
Grapevine Lake Reservoir Manager for the U. S . Army Corps of
� � Engineers, for his dedicated service and assistance to this
community; and
WHEREAS, for the past 8 years Mr. Brite has served as the
Reservoir Manager and has implemented park improvements such as
new recreational areas & equipment and railing beside the
roadways, in addition to increased manpower to preserve order,
among other matters, each of which has helped to create a more
pleasant recreational experience for visitors to Grapevine Lake;
and
WHEREAS, Mr. Brite ' s concern and dedication for the Grape-
vine community has also been exhibited by a spirit of cooperation
and assistance during expansion of the water treatment plant,
reconstruction of the golf course resulting from the flood of
1981 , recovery of property for citizens in the Reed Addition due
to wind damage, and other times when his services were offered
for the public welfare; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Brite is leaving the management of Grapevine
Reservoir in August of 1986 , and will be assuming a position as
Reservoir Manager of Canyon Lake near Waco.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
� CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, that the Mayor and City Council, along
with the citizens of Grapevine, extend this sincere expression of
esteem and appreciation to Mr. Jerry Brite for dedicated
professional service and in acknowledgement of his contributions
to the civic welfare of this community, and do express best
wishes for continued good health and success for many years to
come.

GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 5th day of August, 1986 .
