A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT
THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, SUPPORTS AND
ENDORSES THE SIGNALIZATION OF THE INTER-
SECTION OF CONTINENTAL ROAD AND S.H. 26

WHEREAS, it is in the interest of the safety and future mo-
bility of the citizens of the City of Grapevine, Texas, that Con-
tinental Road be extended to connect Continental Road and
S.H. 26; and
WHEREAS, this extension of Continental Road has been desig-
nated on the approved major thoroughfare plan of the City of
Grapevine; and
WHEREAS, the projected volume of traffic at the intersection
of S.H. 26 and Continental Road will be such that a signalization
is necessary to protect the safety of the residents of the Cities
of Grapevine, Texas, and Southlake, Texas; and
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine supports and endorses the lo-
cation of such signalization;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE,
TEXAS, that:
_ � Section 1. The City of Grapevine, Texas, hereby en-
� dorses and supports the extension of Continental Road to
S.H. 26.
� Section 2. The City of Grapevine, Texas, requests
, that the State Department of Highways and Public Transporta-
;� tion approve the signalization of the Continental Road and
S.H. 26 intersection.
