A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO.
79-35 PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL ON OCTOBER 16 , 1979, RELATING TO
THE GOLF COURSE ADVISORY BOARD, BY
AMENDING SECTION 3, PARAGRAPHS A AND B;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE UPON
PASSAGE AND APPROVAL
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE,
TEXAS :
Section l . That Section 3 , Paragraph A of Resolution No.
79-35 passed and approved by the City Council on October 16,
1979, is hereby amended to read as follows :
The Board shall consist of seven (7) members , composed
of the City Manager and the Golf Pro, one (1) member of
the City Council and four (4) citizens of the City of
Grapevine who are members of the Grapevine Golf Asso-
ciation or who are active golfers at the Grapevine
Municipal Golf Course. An "active" golfer is one who
plays golf a minimum of once a month. The City
Councilmember shall be appointed each year by the
Mayor, with the four (4) citizen members being ap-
pointed by the City Council. The Golf Association may
submit recommendations to the City Council for appoint-
ment.
Section 2 . That Section 3, Paragraph B of Resolution No.
79-35 passed and approved by the City Council on October 16,
1979, is hereby amended to read as follows :
�„ (1) The City Councilmember appointment to the Board
shall be effective from May lst through April 30th of
each year.
(2) (a) Each of the four (4) citizen members shall
occupy a Place on the Golf Advisory Board, such
Places being numbered 1, 2, 3, and 4 .
(b) Upon passage and approval of this Resolution,
Places 1 and 2 shall be appointed on May l, 1987
to serve for a period of one (1) year which term
shall expire on April 30 , 1988. Subsequent
appointments to Places 1 and 2 shall be for a term
of two (2) years.
(c) Upon passage and approval of this Resolution,
Places 3 and 4 shall be appointed on May 1 , 1987
to serve for a period of two (2) years which term
shall expire on April 30, 1989 . Subsequent
appointments to Places 3 and 4 shall be for a term
of two (2) years .
'�" Section 3 . That this Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval.
