A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS EXPRESSING
APPRECIATION TO THE GRAPEVINE TOWN
SQUARE COMMITTEE FOR DEDICATED COMMUNITY
SERVICE
�
WHEREAS, the Town Square Committee was established to
coordinate development of a Town Square park as the focal point
i� of downtown Grapevine; and
WHEREAS, those individuals serving on the Committee are Burl
Gilliam, Harold Mutter, John Price, Becky Swann, Walt Milner,
Robert Strong and Shane Wilbanks; and
WHEREAS, these Committee members have given diligently of
their time and talents to coordinate the Town Square project with
private contributions of funds, goods, and services; and
WHEREAS, Town Square now stands on Main Street with a
gazebo, park benches, and Victorian street lamps and is a source
of community pride; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Grapevine, Texas
recognizes the valuable contribution the Town Square Committee
has made in developing this park, which captures the spirit of
yesteryear and complements the unique atmosphere of our City; and
WHEREAS, the Grapevine City Council, together with the
citizens of Grapevine, are desirous of expressing their
� appreciation to the members of the Town Square Committee for
their dedicated and untiring service to this community.

�„ NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, that the Mayor and City Council, along
with the citizens of Grapevine, extend this sincere expression of
appreciation to the individuals on the Town Square Committee for
dedicated service and in acknowledgement of their contributions
to the enhancement of the quality of life in our community.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 16th day of December, 1986 .
