A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, APPROVING THE SALE OF THE FIRE
DEPARTMENT'S 1975 SUBURBAN AMBULANCE TO APOLLO
AMBULANCE COMPANY OF IRVING, TEXAS FOR THE TOTAL
�� p AMOUNT OF �4,500 . 00 ; DECLARING THE FIRE DEPARTMENT' S
1975 SUBURBAN AMBULANCE AS SURPLUS; FINDING THAT THE
PRICE OFFERED BY APOLLO AMBULANCE COMPANY IN THE
� � AMOUNT OF �4, 500. 00 IS EQUAL TO THE FAIR MARKET
VALUE OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT' S 1975 SUBURBAN
AMBULANCE; DETERMINING THAT THE SALE OF THE FIRE
DEPARTMENT' S 1975 SUBURBAN AMBULANCE NEED NOT BE
COMPETITIVELY BID; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTS FOR THE SALE OF THE
FIRE DEPARTMENT 'S 1975 SUBURBAN AMBULANCE TO APOLLO
AMBULANCE COMPANY OF IRVING, TEXAS FOR �4,500 . 00
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine, Texas has recently purchased
a modular state of the art ambulance; and
WHEREAS, the Fire Department ' s 1975 Suburban Ambulance is
obsolete and is no longer in service or use; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager and Fire Chief of the City of
Grapevine, Texas recommend that the Fire Department ' s 1975
Suburban Ambulance be declared surplus and sold as surplus ; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Fire Department ' s
1975 Suburban Ambulance is surplus equipment that is no longer
�•� used, or needed, by the City of Grapevine, Texas ; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that Apollo Ambulance
�� Company of Irving, Texas, has need for the Fire Department' s 1975
Suburban Ambulance and has offered the City of Grapevine, Texas
�4,500 . 00 to purchase said 1975 Suburban Ambulance; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the price offered by
Apollo Ambulance Company of Irving, Texas, is equal to the fair
market value of the Fire Department ' s 1975 Suburban Ambulance; and
WHEREAS, the City Council hereby finds and determines that
there is no need to competitively bid the sale of the Fire
Department ' s 1975 Suburban Ambulance as it is a surplus vehicle ;
and
WHEREAS, the City Staff has recommended that the City sell
the Fire Department' s 1975 Suburban Ambulance to Apollo Ambulance
Company of Irving, Texas for the amount of �4, 500 . 00 .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1 . That all of the above premises are found to be
��� true and correct and are incorporated into the body of this
Resolution as if copied in their entirety .
Section 2 . That the City Council hereby declares the Fire
Department ' s 1975 Suburban Ambulance to be surplus equipment which
is no longer used nor needed by the City.
Section 3 . That the City Council hereby approves the sale
of the Fire Department ' s 1975 Suburban Ambulance to Apollo
Ambulance Company of Irving, Texas for the total amount of
$4,500 . 00.
Section 4 . That the City Manager is hereby directed and
authorized to execute all necessary documents for the sale of the
Fire Department ' s 1975 Suburban Ambulance to Apollo Ambulance
Company of Irving, Texas for the price of $4,500 . 00 .
PASSED AND APPROVED this 16th day of December, 1986 .
