A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS TO ENTER INTO A
CONTRACT WIZ'H THE STATE OF TEXAS wHEREBY
THE CITY WILL ASSUME RESPONSIBILITIES
FOR DRAINAGE AT RT. OF STA. 448+14 . 20 ON
STATE HIGHWAY 121 IN THE CITY OF
,,,� GRAPEVINE, TEXAS; AND FURTHERMORE, THAT
THE STATE' S DRAINAGE EASEMENT RIGHTS AS
R.ECORDED IN VOI,UME 5618 , PAGE 322 OF THE
DEED RECORDS , TRRRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, ARE
�� NO I�ONGER NEEDED FOR THE USE OF CITIZENS
AND HAVE BEEN REPLACED BY A COMPATIBLE
EASEMENT BY THE CITY AND THAT THE CITY
RECOMMENDS THAT THE 5TATE'S EASEMENT BE
QUITCLAIMED TO THE OW-NER OF THE FEE IN
THE I�AND; AND DECI�ARING AN EF'FECTIVE
DRTE;
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Grapevine, Texas,
deems it necessary and to the best interest of the City of
Grapevine, Texas, to enter into a contract with the State of
Texas, acting by and through the State Highway and Public
Transportatian Commissi.on whereby the City will maintain proper
drain.aa,e within the proposed drainage eas�ment Rt. of Station
448+14. 2G on State Highway 121 in Grapevine; as shown in the
attached Exhibit "A" , made a part of this Resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS :

Section 1 . That the City of Grapevine, Texas, actinq by
and through its Nayor, enter into a Contract with the State of
Texas whereby the City of Grapevine, Texas, assumes whatever
responsibi.lities ard liabilities the State may have for the
proper and adequate discharge of a.11 drainaqe from the highway
drainage facility located at Rt. of Sta. 448+14 . 20 on State
Highway 121 in the City of Grapevine and Tom Powers, Mayor of the
City of Grapevine, mexas , be and is hereby authorized to enter
into saia Contract on behalf of the City of Grapevine, Texas.
The City Secretary is hereby instructed to attest and affix the
seal of the City of Grapevine, Texas, to said Contract.
Section 2 . That this Resalution shall be effective from and
after the date of its passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 18th day of June, 19�5.
