A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS,
ENDORSING AND SUPPORTING THE FIRST
,�, ANNUAL LAKE GRAPEVINE SHORELINE
CLEANUP
�"` WHEREAS, the Texas Conservation Foundation has organized the
First Annual Lake Grapevine Shoreline Cleanup to be held on
Saturday, August 18 , 1984; and,
WHEREAS, in order to preserve the natural beauty of
Grapevine Lake and the surrounding area, it is necessary to have
the support of the general public for the purpose of cleaning up
and removing unsightly trash from the shoreline of the lake; and,
WHEREAS, this cleanup effort will help to build a sense of
unity and pride in the community, will encourage citizen
awareness of how to reduce the growing litter problem, and will
make entertainment at Lake Grapevine more enjoyable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1 . That the City Council of the City of Grapevine,
Texas, does hereby endorse and support the First Annual Lake
� Grapevine Shoreline Cleanup and encourages participation in this
endeavor by all local community groups and citizens.
� Section 2. That the efforts made by the Texas Conservation
Foundation and associated groups to organize this cleanup
campaign are to be commended.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 17th day of July, 1984.
