A RESOLUTION FINDING THAT A PUBLIC NECESSITY
AND NEED EXISTS FOR THE CITY TO ACQUIRE A
CERTAIN TRACT OF LAND, DESCRIBED IN THE BODY
�� OF THIS RESOLUTION, FOR DRAINAGE EASEMENT
PURPOSES; AUTHORIZING AN OFFER; AND AUTHORIZ-
ING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO FILE CONDEMNATION
PROCEEDINGS
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE,
TEXAS;
Section 1 . That the City Council does hereby find that a
public necessity and need exists in the City in order for the
City to improve its drainage facilities on all of that lot,
tract, or parcel of land situated within the City limits of the
City of Grapevine, Tarrant County, Texas, and described in
Exhibit "A" , attached hereto and made a part hereof, for easement
purposes from the owner of the property, Ellsworth D. Sallee,
et ux.
Section 2 . That the tract of land to be acquired is for
the purpose of constructing and maintaining a drainage channel on
the property described in Exhibit "A" .
Section 3. That the City Manager is instructed to offer
the owner the sum of $6 ,800 as cost consideration for the
*�"� drainage easement. In the event the owner rejects the offer, the
City Attorney is directed to file a condemnation suit in Tarrant
;�„ County in order to permit the City to obtain the tract of land
pursuant to its power of eminent domain.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 20th day of November, 1984 .

EXHIBIT "A" TO

20 Foot Drainage Easement

BEING a strip of land situated in the G. W. Minter
Survey, Abstract No. 1083, in the City of Grapevine, Tar-
rant County, Texas, said strip of land being 20 . 00 feet in
width, 10 . 00 feet either side of the following described
centerline:
BEGINNING at a point for corner on the east line of
Euless-Grapevine Road (a 60 foot right-of-way) , said point
being N 0° 11 ' 38" W, 335. 00 feet from the intersection of
the said east line of Euless-Grapevine Road with the north
line of Glade Road (a 50 foot right-of-way) ;
THENCE N 89° 48 ' 22" E, 20 . 00 feet to a point for
corner;
THENCE N 67° 48 ' 22" E, 150 . 00 feet to the end of
said centerline.
