HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 1984-056 RESOLUTION NO. 84-56 A RESOLUTION IMPOSING AND EXTENDING A MORA- TORIUM ON THE ISSUANCE OF BUILDING PERMITS IN CERTAIN DEFINED AREAS WHEREAS, the Planning & Zoning Commission, City Staff and � � City Council have been engaged in the adoption of a new Zoning District Map for the entire City pursuant to City Ordinance No. 82-73 , the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance; and �.� WHEREAS, the Public Hearing has been concluded and the Planning & Zoning Commission has made its recommendations; and WHEREAS , during this process, the City has imposed a Mora- torium on the issuance of Building Permits that encompassed certain property that was zoned in a manner inconsistent with the City' s 1980 Land Use Master Plan; and WHEREAS, the initial Moratorium has expired; and WHEREAS, an additional Moratorium has been imposed by mutual agreement, which Moratorium expires on December 30, 1984; and WHEREAS, the City Council, due to a change in ownership of the property, desires to impose a Moratorium on the issuance of Building Permits to run from December 30 , 1984 to February 28, 1985, in order to further study the area and consider the proper zoning. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF �f GRAPEVINE, TEXAS: Section 1 . That a Moratorium is hereby imposed on the ,� ,� issuance of any Building Permits for the property described in the attached Exhibit, for a period from December 30 , 1984 to February 28 , 1985 . During said period of time City Officials shall issue no Building Permits for all or any portion of the property described in said Exhibit. Section 2 . That this Resolution shall become effective from and after its passage. PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 18th day of December, 1984 .
