HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 1985-002 RESOLUTION N0. g5-02 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS PROVIDING THAT BIDS WERE PROPERLY TAKEN AND REVIEWED FOR THE PURCHASE OF A STATION WAGON; PROVIDING THAT THE BID BE AWARDED TO A FIRM OTHER THAN THE LOW BIDDER; AND PROVIDING AN ,�=� EFFECTIVE DATE �.�. WHEREAS , the City Administrator was authorized and directed and did in fact advertise for bids for the purchase of a station wagon in accordance with specifications; and WHEREAS , four (4) bids were received and reviewed from A1 McNatt Chevrolet, Payton-Wright Ford, Hudiburg Chevrolet, and Dub Shaw Ford; and WHEREAS, the bids have been analyzed and closely reviewed by the City Administration; and WHEREAS , even though the bid from A1 McNatt Chevrolet was lower in price by $17. 53 , the detailed analysis of all aspects of the bid has caused the City Administration to recommend the bid be awarded to Payton-Wright Ford, the second lowest bidder; and WHEREAS, the City Administration' s recommendation is based upon their finding that Payton-Wright Ford submitted the lowest responsible bid and because of location and convenience , will provide better service in the purchase and maintenance of said vehicle. �'"` THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS : �.�� Section 1 . That, based on the above premises and the detailed recommendations of the City Administration, the Council finds that Payton-Wright Ford submitted the lowest responsible bid and is hereby awarded the bid for the purchase of a station wagon in the amount of $8 ,687 .00 . Section 2 . That this resolution shall take effect from and after its passage. PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 8th day of January, 1985.
