A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE POLICE CHIEFS
OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE AND THE CITY OF
BEDFORD TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION TO THE
TEXAS CRIMINAL JUSTICE COUNCIL FOR A
NARCOTICS GRANT
�
WHEREAS, the Cities of Grapevine and Bedford are located in
one of the fastest growing metropolitan areas in the United
States; and
WHEREAS , narcotic-related crime is recognized as one of the
most crucial problems in society' s struggle for domestic tran-
quility; and
WHEREAS, the Texas Criminal Justice Council will provide
funding for narcotic investigation and purchases; and
WHEREAS , it is the opinion of the City Council of the City
of Grapevine and the City Council of the City of Bedford that the
best interests of the citizens can be served by utilizing funds
for purchases and exchange of officers for Narcotics Investiga-
tion.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE , TEXAS :
5ection 1 . That the Cities of Grapevine and Bedford Police
Departments are authorized to request funding from the Texas
�`�"' Criminal Justice Council for a joint narcotics operation.
� Section 2 . That the Cities of Grapevine and Bedford
understand that, if approved, the Texas Criminal Justice Council
will provide 20o funding for the project for a period of one (1)
year.
