A RESOLUTION INSTITUTING A NE�V ZONING CASE OR CASES
IN ORDER TO CONSIDER AMENDING AND CHANGING THE
CITY'S COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE, ORDINANCE
iVO. 82-73, AS ANIENDED, SAME ALSO BEING KNOWN AS
APPENDIX "D" OF THE CODE OF aRDINANCES OF THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, BY ADDING A NEW SECTION RE-
� LATING TO FLOOR AREA AND A NEW SECTION RELATING TO

THORIZING THE ADVERTISEMENT FOR PUBLIC HEARINGS
PUFtSUANT TO TEX. REV. CIV. STAT. ANN. ART. 1011a-1011e;
. PROVIDING AN EFFE�TIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to consider amendments and chang�s
to c�rtain hereinafter described sections of the City's Comprehensive Zoning
�Jrdinance, Ordinance No. 82-73, same being also known as Appendix "D" of the
Code of Ordinances of the City of Grapevine, Texas (the "Comprehensive 7oning
Crdinance"); and
WHEREAS, by the passage of this resolution the City Council d�es hereby
institute a new zoning case or cases to consider said amendments and changes
and does instruct the City Staff to proceed in a reasonable and expeditious
manner to satisfy the statutory notice requirements necessary to call a Public
Hearing or Hearings in order to allow the Planning and Zoning Commission and
City Council to consider said amendments and changes in accordance with
apolicable State Law.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF G�APEVINE, 'I'EXAS: '
Section 1. That all matters stated above are found to be true and
correct and are incorporated into the body of this resolution as if copied herein
in their entirety.
Section 2. The City Council does hereby institute a new zoning case or
cases to consider amending and changing the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance

relating to Floor Area and a new Secti�n relating to Floor Area Ratios; by
amending Section 20 relating ro R-TH Townhouse District Regulations, Section
21 relating to R-MF-1 Multi-Family District Regulations, Section 22, relating to
�-MF-2 Multi-Family District Regulations, Section 23 relating to LB Limited
Business District, Section 24 relating to �N NeighborhQod Commercial Bistrict,
Section 25 relating to CC Community Commercial District Rebulations, Section
26 relating to HC Highway Commercial Distriet kegulations, Section 27 relating
to P-O Professional Office District Regulations, Section 28 relating to CBD
Central Business District, Section 29 relating to HCO Hotel and Corporate
Office District, Section 31 relating to LI Light Industrial District, Section 34
relating to PRD-6 Planned Residential Low Density District, Section 35 relating
to PRD-12 Planned Residential Medium Density, Section 36 relating to PCD
Planned Commerce Development District, Section 37 relating to PID Planned
Industrial Development District, Section 38 relating to GU Governmental Use
District, Section 53 relating to Landscaping Regulations, Section 54 relating to
Masonry requirements; and by repealing Section 30 relating to C-W Commercial
Warehouse District.
Section 3. The City Council does hereby direct, authorize and instruct
the City Staff to proceed in a reasonable and expeditious manner to satisfy the
�.:� statutory notice requirements necessary to call a Public Hearing or Hearin�s in
order to allow the Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council to consider
said amendments and changes in accordance with applicable State law, and to
take all other necessary and appropriate action.
Section 4. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its
passage.
