A RESOLUTION OF 'PHE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GFt�PEVINE, TEXAS, ANN�NNDING THE
FUNDING CRITERIA FOR GRANTS-IN AID APPLI-
CATION FOR HO'I�L OCCUPANCY TAX FUNDS BY
ANNIENDING RESOLUTIONS N0. 82-24 AND 83-52
WI�REAS, the City Council established funding criteria for grants-in-aid
�� application for Hotel Occupancy Tax �,inds by the passage of Resolution
No. 82-24 on the lst day of June, 1982 and the City Council amended said
criteria by the passage of Resolution No. 83-52 on the 20th day of December,
1983; and
Wf�REAS, pursuant to the recormlendations of the Convention and Visitors
Bureau, the City Council desires to amend said funding criteria by amending
Resolutions No. 82-24 and No. 83-52.
NOW, Tf�REF'ORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF Tf� CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That Resolution No. 82-24 is hereby amended by an�nding
Sections 1, 3, and 8 as follows:
A. Resolution No. 82-24, Section 1, is amended by adding the following
sentence as the last sentence:
These programs must be designated to attract outside
visitors to Grapevine.
B. Section 3 is amended by amending the first unlettered paragraph to
read as follows:
All applicants for Grants-In-Aid shall sul�iit their written
'`�°�' application to the E�ecutive Director of the Convention and
Visitors Bureau, or his designated representative, on a
form provided by the City, which application shall meet and
satisfy the following criteria and standards:
C. Subsection C of Section 3 is amended to read as follows:
Projects should be available to the general public.
D. Section 8 is amended by amending the last sentence to read as
follows:
"This project is funded in part by a grant frcan the City of
Grapevine Convention and Visitors Bureau."
all other provisions of Resolution No. 82-24 shall remain in full force and
effect except Sections 4 and 5 which w�ere an�nded by Resolution No. 83-52.
Section 2. That Resolution No. 83-52 is hereby amended by amending
Sections 4 and 5 as follows:
A. Sections 4 and 5 are amended by substituting the title "Executive •
Director of the Convention and Visitors Bureau" for the title "City
�..„.
Manager".
B. Section 5 is hereby amended by adding the following phrase at the
end of the first sentence:

. . , at least 45 days prior to project event date. Appli-
cations not sul�nitted before that date will not be con-
sidered for funding under this resolution.
all other provisions of Sections 4 and 5 as contained in Resolution No. 83-52
shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its
passage.
