A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS , APPOINTING A
MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
GRAPEVINE INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT CORPO-
RATION
� -� WHEREAS, Mr. Larry Oliver was appointed as a Director of the
' Grapevine Industrial Development Corporation on April 17 , 1984,
while serving as a member of the Grapevine City Council; and
�
WHEREAS , the Articles of Incorporation of the Grapevine
Industrial Development Corporation provide that the term of
office of a Director also serving as a member of the governing
body of the City shall never exceed the period for which such
Director is a member of such governing body; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Oliver relinquished his position on the City
Council on April 16 , 1985 , thereby also relinquishing his
position on the Board of Directors of the Grapevine Industrial
Development Corporation; and
WHEREAS , it is necessary and incumbent upon the City Council
to appoint a Director to file this vacancy, and Mr. Oliver has
expressed his desire to be appointed as a Grapevine citizen for a
full, 6-year term.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS :
Section 1. That the findings and declarations contained in
the preamble of this Resolution are hereby repeated and
�� incorporated herein as part of this Resolution.
Section 2 . That the City Council hereby appoints Larry
�`` Oliver, who is at least eighteen (18) years of age, and is a duly
qualified elector of the City on the date of this appointment, to
serve as a member of the Board of Directors of the Corporation,
such service to be at all times subject to the powers of the City
under the Act and the Articles of Incorporation.
Section 3 . That this Resolution shall take effect
immediately from and after its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 21st day of May, 1985.
