A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING
THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE TO ENTER INTO A
a> - CONTRACT WITH THE U. S. ARMY CORPS OF
ENGINEERS FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT WITHIN THE
CITY LIMITS OF GRAPEVINE BY USE OF OFF-

DUTY POLICE OFFICERS
WHEREAS , urban areas across the nation are experiencing
increasing demands for police services; and
WHEREAS , the City of Grapevine, Texas is also experiencing
this nation-wide trend; and
WHEREAS , the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers will provide
monies under contract for use of officers of the City of Grapevine
on an overtime basis.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1 . That the City of Grapevine Police Department
is authorized to enter into a contract with the U. S. Army Corps
of Engineers for overtime work.
' Section 2 . That the City of Grapevine understands that
the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers , under its guidelines, will pro-
;� , vide 100� of the required funding for the project up to $24 ,000 .

GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 7th day of February, 1984.
