A RESOLUTION EXTENDING A TEMPORARY MORA-
TORIUM ON REZONING, PLANNED DEVELOPMENT
PERMITS, SPECIFIC USE PERMITS AND SITE
PLAN PERMITS AND BUILDING PERMITS IN THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS FOR AN ADDI-
. TIONAL SIXTY (60) DAYS; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
�"� WHEREAS , by the passage of Resolution No. 83-34 on Septem-
ber 6 , 1983 , which resolution was amended by the passage of
Resolution No. 83-40 on September 20 , 1983 the City imposed a
moratorium of 150 days in length from September 6 , 1983 on the
issuance of building permits and the acceptance and processing of
zoning cases within certain areas of the City and in accordance
with certain guidelines and standards; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 83-34 was amended by the passage of
Resolution No. 84-03 on January 17 , 1984 , which resolution
extended the moratorium for an additional thirty (30) days from
February 3 , 1984; and
WHEREAS , the 180 day moratorium is due to expire on the 4th
day of March, 1984 ; and
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission, City Council,
Citizens , and City Staff have been diligently pursuing the goals
outlined in the moratorium; and
WHEREAS , the City Council has concluded, based on the City
� Staff' s recommendation, that it is necessary, appropriate , and
fair to extend the moratorium for an additional sixty (60) days.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the 180 day moratorium imposed by the pas-
sage of the City of Grapevine Resolution No. 83-34 and Resolution
No. 84-03 is hereby extended in its entirety for an additional
sixty (60) days and Section 5 of said Resolution No. 83-34 is
hereby amended accordingly to extend the moratorium from 180 days
to 240 days. The moratorium, therefore , is accordingly extended
and will expire on the 3rd day of May, 1984.
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from its
passage , and it is so ordered.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 21st day of February, 1984 .
