A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, RECOG-
NIZING THE NEED FOR A COUNTY ARSON
ABATEMENT PROGRAM; OFFERING SUPPORT
OF SAME; AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH
OTHER GOVERNMENTAL ENTITIES FOR
PARTICIPATION IN THE COUNTY ARSON
ABATEMENT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Crime of Arson has reached alarming propor-
tions in Tarrant County, and
WHEREAS, each governmental body within our County cannot
alone effectively combat this malignant crime, and
WHEREAS, we believe the only practical and economical
solution to the problem appears to be through a united effort,
and
WHEREAS, the concept of the County Arson Abatement Pro-
gram, as proposed by the Tarrant County Arson Task Force,
appears to address this problem in the prospective.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
• l. That we, the City Council of the City of Grapevine,
� Texas , hereby officially lend our support to this County-wide
� Arson Abatement Program by authorizing Mayor William D. Tate
to enter into an Inter-local Assistance Agreement with all other
governmental entities of Tarrant County participating in the
County Arson Abatement Program.
