A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS TO APPLY FOR A GRANT
FROM THE TEXAS CRIMINAL JUSTICE DIVI-
' SION

WHEREAS, urban areas across the nation are experiencing
a dramatic increase in a population and the construction of
new homes, businesses , and industries; and
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine, Texas is also exper-
iencing this nation-wide trend; and
WHEREAS, the Texas Criminal Justice Division will provide
funding for Crime Prevention Specialist.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1 . That the City of Grapevine Police Department
is authorized to request funding from the Texas Criminal Jus-
tice Division for a Crime Prevention Specialist Project.
Section 2 . That the City of Grapevine understands that,
�$ if approved, the Criminal Justice Division will provide 60%
funding for the projects for a period of one year.
