A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS , AUTHOR-
IZING THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE TO ENTER
INTO A CONTRACT WITH THE U. S. ARMY
CORPS OF ENGINEERS FOR LAW ENFORCE-
� MENT WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF GRAPE-
VINE BY USE OF OFF-DUTY POLICE OFFICERS

WHEREAS, urban areas across the nation are experiencing
increasing demands for police services; and
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine , Texas is also experiencing
this nation-wide trend; and
WHEREAS , the City of Grapevine has within its City limits
a Corps of Engineers lake; and
WHEREAS, the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers will provide
monies under contract for use of officers of the City of Grape-
vine on an overtime basis.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS :
Section l . That the City of Grapevine Police Department is
authorized to enter into a contract with the U. S. Army Corps of
Engineers for overtime work.
�' Section 2 . That the City of Grapevine understands that the
U. S. Army Corps of Engineers , under its guidelines , will provide
1000 of the required funding for the project up to $20 , �00 .
