HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 1982-026 RESOLUTION NO. 82-26 A RESOLUTION CALLING PUBLIC HEARINGS FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSIDERING THE INSTITU- TION OF ANNEXATION PROCEEDINGS TO ANNEX ALL THOSE LOTS, TRACTS, AND PARCELS OF LAND DESCRIBED IN EXHIBITS "A" , "B" , & � "C" ; AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION OF NOTICES � BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS: Section 1 . Pursuant to and in accordance with Article 970A Tex. Rev. Civ. Stat. Ann. , the Municipal Annexation Act, public hearings are hereby called for the dates, times , and locations described below for the purposes of considering the institution of annexation proceedings to annex all those lots , tracts, and parcels of land described in Exhibits "A" , "B" , & "C" , which are attached hereto and incorporated herein as if copied in their entirety into the body of this resolution: ON-SITE PUBLIC HEARINGS -- Thursday, June 24 , 1982 l . Minters Chapel/Highway 114 -- 4 :00 p.m. (Exhibit "A" ) 2. Highway 26 -- 4 : 45 p.m. (Exhibit "B" ) e 3. High Country Estates -- 5 : 30 p.m. (Exhibit "C" ) �°� SECOND PUBLIC HEARINGS -- Tuesday, July 6 , 1982 Grapevine City Hall -- 7 : 30 p.m. Section 2 . All interested persons shall be given the opportunity to be heard at said public hearing, which shall be conducted and held not more than forty (40) days nor less than twenty (20) days prior to the Institution of the Annexa- tion Proceedings . Section 3. Notice of Public Hearings. A. Notice of these public hearings shall be published in a newspaper having general circulation in the City and in the territory proposed to be annexed. Said notices shall be accomplished by publi- cation of this resolution in its entirety, including Exhibits "A" , "B" , & "C" , at least once in said newspaper not more than twenty (20) days nor less than ten �„ (10) days prior to each public hearing. � B. Additional notice by Certified Mail � should be given to railroad companies serving the City and on the City' s tax roll where the right-of-way is located within the territory to be annexed.
