A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS PROVID-
ING THAT BIDS WERE PROPERLY TAKEN AND
REVIEWED FOR THE PURCHASE OF A 1000
GPM PUMPER TRUCK; PROVIDING THAT THE
BID BE AWARDED TO A FI�� OTHER THAN
THE LOW BIDDER; AND PROVIDING AN
�.,, EFFECTIVE DATE

WHEREAS, the City Administrator was authorized and
directed and did in fact advertise for bids for the purchase
of a 1000 GPM Pumper Truck in accordance with specifications;
and
WHEREAS, two (2) bids were received and reviewed from
Superior Southwest and Fire Protection Service Company; and
WHEREAS, the bids have been analyzed and closely re-
viewed by the City Administration; and
WHEREAS, even though the bids from Fire Protection Ser-
vice Company were lower in price , the fact that a 6 to 8 month
delivery date on the 1000 GPM Pumper Truck is unacceptable and
the detailed analysis of all aspects of the bids has caused
the City Administration to recommend the bid be awarded to
Superior Southwest , the second lowest bidder.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:

��� Section 1 . That, based on the above premises and the
detailed recommendations of the City Administration, the
Council finds that Superior Southwest submitted the lowest
responsible bid and is hereby awarded the bid for the pur-
chase of a 1000 GPM Pumper Truck in the amount of $89 , 577 .
Section 2 . That this resolution shall take effect from
and after its passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 7th day of September , 1982 .
