A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, APPROVING A CHANGE ORDER
TO THE SOUTHWEST SEWER LINE CONSTRUCTION CON-
TRACT; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE SUCH CHANGE ORDER; AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY
WHEREAS , the City has heretofore enter�d into a certain
� construction contract dated April 30 , 1982 between the City of
Grapevine and Wright Construction Company in the amount of
$318 ,169 . 00 ; and
WHEREAS, City Council has found and determined and by
these presents does hereby find and determine that a certain
Change Order No. 2 , attached hereto and made a part hereof as
Exhibit "A" , should be approved with reference to the afore-
mentioned construction contract, and such approval should be
evidenced on b�half of the City by the Mayor.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE , TEXAS:
Section 1 . That Change Order No. 2 , attached hereto as
Exhibit "A" , resulting in a net increase in the construction
contract of $55 ,326 . 00 is hereby approved with reference to
that certain construction contract referred to in the preamble
hereof.
Section 2 . That the Mayor is hereby authorized and direc-
ted to evidence the City' s approval of Change Order No. 2 by
execution thereof on behalf of the City.
� Section 3. That the public importance of this measure and
the fact that it is to the best interest of the City that such
Change Order be executed as herein contemplated constitutes an
emergency and creates a necessity for the immediate preservation
of the public peace , health, and safety of the citizens of the
City, which requires that this resolution be passed and take
effect as an emergency measure , and it is accordingly resolved
that this resolution be in full force and effect from and after
its passage .
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 19th day of October, 1982 .

CHANGE OR EX7RA WORK TO BE PERFORMED

In lieu of constructing sanitary sewer lines of the sizes and depth re-
quired (and designed) to carry domestic sewage flows for the Countryside
Estates Subdivision, you are hereby requested to install increased sizes
of lines, as necessary, to accomodate sewage flows from lines serving
area north of said subdivision. Payment for this extra work shall be
made on the basis of the difference in cost between the two systems as
reflected by the attached breakdowns.
Extra Costs: Lines "A" and "B" - $26,345.50
Outfall Line "D" - 28,980.50
Total Additional Cost - $55,326.00
