CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, ACCEPTING THE
PROVISIONS CONTAINED IN STATE HIGHWAY &
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION COP'IMISSION MINUTE
ORDER 80238 PASSED BY THE STATE HIGHWAY
� & PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION COD'L2ISSION ON
NOVEPIBER 29 , 1982 , FOR THE IMPROVEMENT
BY THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS AND
� PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION OF FARr'I-TO-MARKET
ROAD 2499
WHEREAS, on the 18th day of May, 1982 , the Grap�vine
City Council adopted Resolution No. 82-22 requesting the
Commissioners ' Court of Tarrant County, Texas , to petition
the Department of Highways & Public Transportation of the
5tate of Texas to approve the financing and construction
-�or the extension of Farm-To-l�Zarket Road 2499 ; and
�aHEREAS, the State Department of Highways and Public
Transportation desires to assist in this request providinct
apnro�riate local officials ac�ree to the proposal stated in
P2inute Order 80238 within 90 days of November 29 , 1982 .
NOta, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS :
Section l . That the City Council of the City of Grap�-
vine , Texas , accepts the provisions contained in State High-
way & Public Transportation Commission Minute Order No. 80238
(attached hereto and made a part hereof as Exhibit "A") , as
passed by the State Highway & Public Transportation Commis-
+�,,, sion on November 29, 1982 , for the improvement by the State
Department of Highways & Public Transportation of Farm-To-
Plarket Road 2499 and that the City of Grapevine agrees to
furnish all required right-of-way free of cost to the State .
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE , TEXAS on this the 21st day of December , 1982 .

W�REAS, in TARRANT, DENTON ea.ND DALLAS COUNTIES, appropriate local officials have
requested construction of a FARM TO MARI�T ROAD extending from the end of Farm to
Market Road 2499 at th� Tarraiit-Denton County Line, East and SoutheasC to State
Highway 121, a distance of appro:cicnately 2.5 miles; and
WHEREAS, the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation desires to assist
in this request;
CNO�d, THEREFORE, the Engineer-Director is directed to tender the following proposal to

the Cities of Flower Mound and Grapevine and to Tarrant, Denton and Da11as. Counties:
Provided the Cities and Counties will agree to furnish all right of way required
to accommodate an ultimate five-lane facility, such right of way to be clear of
obstructions and free of cost to the State, with acquisition procedures in accor-
,�.;� dance with applicable Federal and State laws governing the acquisition poZicies
for acqu�.ring real property, the State Department of Highways and Public Trans-
portation will prepare plans, s�ecifications and estimates for a facility to
v�w adequately acco.mmodate anticipated traffic. ; -
This action is taken with the understanding that funds f or construction are not present
ly available. Subsequent to acquisition of all required right of way, this r�at�er is
to be returned to the attention of the Com��ission for consideration of route designa-
tion and construction financing.•
This Order is subject to acceptance by tEie Cities of Flocaer riound and Grapevine and
Tarrant, Denton and Dallas Counties and if not accepted within 90 days of the date
hereof, the action herein contained shall be automatically cancelled.
