A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO ENTER
INTO A PERSONAL SERVICES CONTRACT WITH HAG-
GARD S�aIMMING POOL REPAIR SERVICE TO PRO-
VIDE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AS A "CONTRACT
MANAGER" IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE REPAIR OF
THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE OUTDOOR SWIMP4ING POOL
�- �� LOCATED IN DOVE PARK, ALL AS SET OUT IN THE
BODY OF THE RESOLUTION; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE

WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine outdoor swimming pool, located
in Dove Park, is in dire need of repairs; and
�aHEREAS , high costs , including interest costs and lack of
availability of labor and capital have caused the City not to
be in a position to make the necessary repairs to the outdoor
swimming facility when needed; and
WHEREAS, the swimming pool is a necessary and needed facil-
ity for the operation of City government and for our citizens;
and •
WHEREAS, the City Council does hereby find that it is
necessary to act at once to appropriate money to preserve the
property of the City and to protect the public health, safety,
morals and general welfare of the community and citizens; and
WHEREAS, the City does agree to enter into a professional
personal service contract with Haggard Swimming Pool Repair Ser-
"""'" vice to provide the necessary expertise to accomplish the repair
of the outdoor swimming facility at Dove Park.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS :
Section 1 . That the City does hereby agree to enter into a
personal services contract with Haggard Swimming Pool Repair Ser-
vice , Euless , Texas , for the repair of the City of Grapevine out-
door swimming facility located in Dove Park, Grapevine , Texas.
Section 2 . The form of the personal services contract shall
be approved by the City Attorney and executed by the City D4anager.
The contract shall comply with all statutory requirer.ients relative
to public contracts .
Section 3. Plans and specifications for the remodeling as
outlined by the City P4anager are hereby approved.
Section 4 . The sum of $27 ,250 is hereby appropriated to fund
the p�rsonal services contract and the repair of the swimming pool
facility.
Section 5 . That this resolution shall take effect from and
