A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE,
TEXAS PROVIDING FOR THE NOMINATION OF
A CANDIDATE TO FILL A VACANCY ON THE
TARRANT COUNTY TAX APPRAISAL DISTRICT
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
WHEREAS, the Texas Legislature has passed the Property
� Tax Code , otherwise known as the Senate Bill or Senate Bill
621 , instituting central tax appraisal districts for each
County of the State of Texas , effective January l , 1980 ; and
WHEREAS, the five member governing board will be se-
lected by the participating governmental subdivision located
within the County; and
t�HEREAS, the untimely death of Herbert W. Leach has
created a vacancy on the Tarrant County Tax Appraisal Dis-
trict Board of Directors.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE , TEXAS :
Section l . That Mr. Gaylon Mayfield is hereby nominated
to fill the current vacancy on the governing board of the
appraisal district of Tarrant County.
` Section 2 . It is hereby found and certified that r�r.
Mayfield is currently a resident of the tax appraisal dis-
�� trict and has been a resident for at least two years .
Section 3. That the City Secr�tary is hereby directed
to forward a certified copy o� said resolution to the Tarrant
County Tax Appraisal District Board of Directors.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 15th day of March, 1983 .
