A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE 1983
CITY OFFICER' S ELECTION AND CALLING A RUN-OFF
ELECTION
WHEREAS, there came to be considered the returns of an election
�.,.� held on the 2nd day of April , 1983 , for the purpose of electing the
hereinafter named officials , and it appearing from said returns
duly and legally made that there were cast at said election 1115
valid and legal votes; that each of the candidates in said election

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1 . That said election was duly called; that notice of
said election was given in accordance with law; and that said elec-

tion was held in accordance with law; and that the following named
person was duly elected to the office indicated:
Marion Brekken . . . . . . . . Council , Place 4
Section 2 . That the said above person is hereby declared duly
elected to said respective office , subject to the taking of the
oath and filing bond as provided by the laws of this State and the
ordinances of this City, and that in Council, Place Three no candi-
date received a majority of the total votes cast. A run-off elec-
tion between the two candidates receiving the most votes shall b�
held between fourte�n to twenty-eight days from the date of the
regular election. Date of said election shall be April 16 , 1983 ,
and the place of voting shall be Cannon Elementary School, 1300
West College.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 4th day o£ April , 1983 .
