A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF GRAPE-
���� VINE, TEXAS TO APPLY FOR A GRANT FROM THE
TEXAS CRIMINAL JUSTICE DIVISION

WHEREAS, urban areas across the nation are experiencing
a dramatic increase in population and the construction of
new homes , businesses , and industries; and
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine, Texas is also experiencing
this nation-wide trend; and
WHEREAS, the Texas Criminal Justice Division will provide
funding for a Crime Prevention Specialist.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS :
Section l . That the City of Grapevine Police Department
is authorized to request funding from the Texas Criminal Jus-
tice Division for a Crime Prevention Specialist Project.
Section 2 . That the City of Grapevine understands that,
if approved, the Criminal Justice Division will provide 60%
funding for the projects for a period of one year.
