RESOLUTION NO. g3-29
A RESOLUTION INSTRUCTING THE CITY MANAGER AND THE
CITY STAFF TO REVIEW THE GRAPEVINE COMPREHENSNE
MASTER PLAN, 1974-1994, UPDATE 1980 AND THE CITY'S
ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 82-73, AND TO PROCEED TO PRO-
VIDE A REPORT AND RECOMMENDATION RELATNE TO ANY
� PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO SAID MASTER PLAN AND ZON-
ING ORDINANCE AND AN OUTLINE OF THE PROCEDURE
NECESSARY TO BE FOLLOWED TO ADOPT A ZONING MAP
r�, THAT INCORPORATES THE PROVISIONS AND PRINCIPALS
CONTAINED IN SAID MASTER PLAN
WHEREAS, the City Council approved the Grapevine Comprehensive
� Master Plan, 1974-1994, update 1980, proposed by Freese and Nichols, Inc.,
Consulting Engineers, on the 15th day of �pt�� , 1981, after receiving the
recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Commission and after approximately
thirty (30) hearings and public meetings; and
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Ordinance No. 82-73, as a new
Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance, on the 2nd day of November, 1982, after
receiving the recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City Council, now desires to consider the steps and
procedures necessary to adopt a zoning map that encompasses the provisions and
principals contained in the Master Plan and to consider any proposed amend-
ments to the said Master Plan and Zoning Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE:
� Section l. That the City Manager and the City Staff are hereby
directed to review the Grapevine Comprehensive Master Plan, 1974-1994, update
�,;, 1980, and the City's Zoning Ordinance No. 82-73, and to provide to the City
Council on or before the 6� day of ��tember 1983, a report and
recommendation relative to any proposed amendments to said Master Plan and
Zoning Ordinance and an outline of the procedure needed to adopt a Zoning Map
that incorporates the provisions, land uses and principals contained in said
Master Plan.
Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective from the date of its
passage.
