A RESOLUTION MAKING OFFICIAL THE FINDING
AND DETERMINATION AS TO THE POPULATION
AND NUMBER OF INHABITANTS OF AND WITHIN
THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, AS OF
� JANUARY l, 1981
WHEREAS, the City Council of Grapevine, Texas has found
�'•' and determined that it will be for the benefit of said City
to have a revised estimate of the population and number of
inhabitants, and that the City make an official finding
thereof; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has directed that an unofficial
census of the population of the City of Grapevine be taken;
and,
WHEREAS, based upon the investigation and review of the
City' s growth by Freese & Nichols Engineering Firm, it has
been found and determined that the City of Grapevine, Texas;
as of January l , 1981, actually has within its limits a
population of 14 , 610 and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS :
Section 1. That the City Council has officially found
and determined, and does now find and determine, that the
population of the City of Grapevine, Texas , as of the lst
�., day of January, 1981 was 14 ,610 .
� Section 2. And further, the said City Council now
orders and directs that a copy of this resolution be for-
warded to the Texas Highway Department so that they may
change the population signs on the roads and highways entering
and leaving said City of Grapevine, Texas.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL on this the
20th day of January, 1981.
