WHEREAS, Texas Power & Light Company has filed
a request with the City of Grapevine, requesting an
increase in its rates which was filed on March 6 , 1981
and is proposed to go into effect on the lOth day of
April, 1981.
WHEREAS , the City Council desires to suspend the
operation of the schedule that the rates would go into
effect in order to study the request in accordance with
Tex. Rev. Civ. Stat. Ann. , Article 1446c.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS :
Section l. The City Council does hereby suspend the
operation of the schedule for a period of 120 days beyond
the date on which the schedule of rates was proposed to
go into effect in accordance with Tex. Rev. Civ. Stat. Ann. ,
Article 1446c.
Section 2. A public hearing is hereby called for
the 21 day ofApril 1981, in the City Council Chambers for
the purpose of determining the propriety of such proposed
changes.
Section 3. The City Secretary is directed to send a
copy of this resolution to the District Manager for Texas
Power & Light Company.
