A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS AUTHORIZING CONSULT-
ANTS ENGAGED BY THE TEXAS MUNICIPAL
LEAGUE TO ACT ON THE CITY'S BEHALF
IN EVALUATING A RATE INCREASE REQUEST

"`�""` WHEREAS, Texas Power & Light Company has filed
for a rate increase of $197 . 9 million per annum, and
WHEREAS , it is desirable that cities join together
to evaluate such request in making local rate determinations
and for presentation of evidence at the Public Utility Com-
mission;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS :
That the City of Grapevine, Texas join with other
cities served by Texas Power & Light Company to conduct a
joint study of the company' s pending rate increase and that
the consultants and attorneys engaged by the steering com-
mittee of such cities are authorized to act on our behalf
to obtain all information necessary and pertinent to Texas
Power & Light Company' s rate request, and to conduct invest-
igations, present evidence, advise and represent our city
with respect to Docket 3780 pending before the Public Utility
Commission of Texas and the case pending before the City of
�"� Grapevine at this time.
