A RESOLUTION FINDING THE NECESSITY
TO AUTHORIZE THE PURCHASE OF AN
ULTRA-LOW VOLUME MOSQUITO FOGGER
FROM PUBLIC HEALTH EQUIPMENT AND
SUPPLY IN ORDER TO PROTECT THE PUB-
LIC HEALTH, MORALS , SAFETY, AND GENERAL
WELFARE OF THE CITIZENS OF GRAPEVINE,
TEXAS

� WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine has used the equipment
w.,� of the County of Tarrant to spray for mosquitos within the
City of Grapevine, and
WHEREAS, the spraying equipment of the County of Tarrant
will no longer be available to the City of Grapevine, and
WHEREAS, mosquitos may transmit disease and are also a
source of discomfort to the citizens of Grapevine, and
WHEREAS, a delay in purchase of mosquito fogging equip-
ment will extend the time period in which mosquito transmitted
disease is possible and will also extend the period in which
discomfort to the citizens of Grapevine resulting from pro-
liferation of mosquitos exist,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS :
Section l: That all of the above premises are found
to be true and correct and are hereby incorporated into the
body of this Resolution as if copied in full.
�' Section 2 : The City Manager is hereby authorized and
directed to purchase a London Aire brand ultra-low volume
i�rrr mosquito fogaer from Public Health Equipment and Supply for
the sum of $3 , 895. 00.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of
Grapevine, Texas on this the 21st day of April, 1981.
