A RESOLUTION CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING FOR
MAY 21, 1981 AT 7:30 p.m. SAID PUBLIC HEARING
TO BE CONDUCTED AT DOVE ELEMENTARY, 1932
DOVE LANE, GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, FOR THE PUR-
POSE OF CONSIDERING THE QUALITY AND LEVEL
OF TELEPHONE SERVICE (TELECOMMUNICATIONS
SERVICE) BEING FURNISHED AND SUPPLIED THE
CITIZENS OF GRAPEVINE BY GENERAL TELEPHONE
COMPANY OF THE SOUTHWE.ST PURSUANT TO A
FRANCHISE GRANTED BY CITY OF GRAPEVINE
ORDINANCE NO. 71-30 TO DETERMINE IF THE
QUALITY AND LEVEL OF TELEPHONE SERVICE
MEETS THE REQUIREMENTS INCLUDED IN THE
FRANCHISE ORDINANCE NAMELY THAT THE SER-
VICE BE A FIRST CLASS RELIABLE SERVICE; DI-
RECTING THE GMNG OF NOTICE OF THE PUBLIC
HEARING TO GENERAL TELEPHONE COMPANY OF
THE SOUTHWEST AND PUBLIC NOTICE OF THE
HEARING BY PUBLICATION IN A NEWSPAPER(S) OF
GENERAL CIftCULATION IN THE CITY OF GRAPE-

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL �F THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE:
Section 1. A Public Hearing is hereby called for May 21, 1981 at 7:30 p.m.
_ said Public Hearing to be conducted at Dove Elementary, 1932 Dove Lane,
Grapevine, Te�cas, for the purpose of seeking and considering oral and written
� statements from the general public, citizens of Grapevine, users and subscribers
� of telephone service and from the franchisee, General Telephone Company of the
Southwest, relative to whether the quality and level of telephone service
(Telecommunications Service) being furnished and supplied the eitizens of
Grapevine by General Telephone Compar,y of the Southwest pursuant to Ordinance
No. 71-30, passed on November 16, 1971, meets and satisfies the subject
ordinances requirements that the service be a first class reliable service.
; Section 2. The City Secretary is authorized and directed to notify General
Telephone Company of the Southwest of the Public Hearing called by this
resolution by delivering a copy of same to the Company's District Managers
Office. The City Secretary is further directed to place sufficient, adequate and
timely notice of this Public Hearing in a newspaper(s) that has general circulation
within the City of Grapevine.
