A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE TO APPLY FOR A GRANT FROM
THE TEXAS CRIMINAL JUSTICE DIVISION
RELATIVE TO A CRIME PREVENTION
SPECIALIST
WHEREAS, urban areas across the nation are exper-
iencing a dramatic increase in a population and the
construction of new homes, businesses, and industries;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine, Texas is also
experiencing this nation-wide trend; and
WHEREAS, the Texas Criminal Justice Division will
provide funding for Crime Prevention Specialist.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the City of Grapevine Police Depart-
ment is authorized to request funding from the Texas
Criminal Justice Division for a Crime Prevention Special-
ist Project.
Section 2. That the City of Grapevine understands
that if approved, the Criminal Justice Division will pro-
��-^� vide 60� funding for the projects for a period of one year.
