A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, AUTHOR-
IZING THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE TO APPLY
FOR A GRANT FROM THE LAW ENFORCEMENT
ASSISTANCE ADMINISTRATION PROVIDING
�;�� NECESSARY FUNDING, WITHIN THEIR GUIDE-
LINES, FOR PERSONNEL AND THE PURCHASE
OF EQUIPMENT
��
WHEREAS, urban areas across the nation are exper-
iencing increasing demands for Police Services, and
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine, Texas is also exper-
iencing this nation-wide trend, and
WHEREAS, Grapevine Police Department has a modern
communication system with the exception of a multi-channel
recording device, and
WHEREAS, the Grapevine Police Department can provide
better service to the citizens of Grapevine if they had a
multi-channel recording system, and
WHEREAS, this responsibility is placing an undue hard-
ship on the resources of the City of Grapevine, and
WHEREAS, the Texas Criminal Justice Council will pro-
vide approved personnel and equipment to alleviate this
�� hardship.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS :
Section 1. That the City of Grapevine Police Department
is authorized to request funding from the Texas Criminal Jus-
tice Council for necessary personnel and equipment.
Section 2. That the City of Grapevine understands that
the Texas Criminal Justice Council, under it' s guidelines,
will provide necessary funding for the project, if approved.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 4th day of August ,
1981.
