A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE TO SUBMIT A GRANT APPLICA-
TION TO THE TEXAS CRIMINAL JUSTICE
COUNCIL FOR A NARCOTICS INVESTIGATOR

WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine is located in one of
the fastest growing metropolitan areas in the United States;
and
WHEREAS, narcotics-related crime is recognized as one
of the most crucial areas in society' s struggle for domestic
tranquility; and
WHEREAS, the Texas Criminal Justice Council will pro-
vide funding for a narcotics investigator; and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the City Council that
the best interests of the citizens of Grapevine can be
served by utilizing a specially trained narcotics invest-
igator;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS THAT:
Section l. The City of Grapevine Police Department is
authorized to request funding from the Texas Criminal Justice
�»> - Council for a Narcotics Investigator.
Section 2. The City of Grapevine understands that, if
approved, the Texas Criminal Justice Council will provide
100� funding for the project for a period of one (1) year.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 4th day of August ,
1981.
