A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS REJECT-
ING THE BIDS RECEIVED RELATIVE TO
HYDROMULCHING THE OAK GROVE PARK
SOCCER COMPLEX; AUTHORIZING THE CITY
�* MANAGER TO AWARD THE BID ON A NEGO-
TIATED BASIS; AND PROVIDING AN EFFEC-
TIVE DATE
�
WHEREAS, the City Staff did in fact advertise for bids
relative to hydromulching the Oak Grove Park Soccer Complex;
WHEREAS, several bids were received and were closely
analyzed by the Off ice of the City Manager;
WHEREAS, the City Council did award the bid to Hydro
Lawns , Inc. in the amount of $11, 476. 41;
WHEREAS, Hydro Lawns, Inc. did fail to obtain perfor-
mance and payment bonds;
WHEREAS, it is of the utmost importance to act at once
to expedite the completion of the Oak Grove Park Soccer Com-
plex and make it available for use;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section l. That all bids submitted relative to hydro-
"�'� mulching Oak Grove Park Soccer Complex are hereby rejected.
�, Section 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized
to award the bid to Hydro Lawns, Inc. on a negotiated basis.
Section 3. That this resolution is effective immed-
iately upon its passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 18th day of August, 1981.
