A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE POLICE CHIEFS OF THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE, THE CITY OF BEDFORD TO SUBMIT A GRANT
APPLICATION TO THE TEXAS CRIMINAL JUSTICE COUNCIL FOR
A NARCOTICS INVESTIGATOR.
WHEREAS , the Cities of Bedford and Grapevine
are located in one of the fastest growing metropolitan
areas in the United States ; and

j WHEREAS, narcotic related crime is recognized as
� one of the most crucial areas in society� struggle for
� - domestic tranquility; and
WHEREAS, the Texas Criminal Justice Council will
provide funding for a Narcotics Investigator; and
WHEREAS , it is the opinion of the City of Grapevine
and the City of Bedford, City Council that the best interests
of the citizens can be served by utilizing a officer on
exchange basis for Narco-tics Investigator;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Councils
of the City of Bedford and City of Grapevine , Texas that ;
Section l. The Cities of Grapevine and Bedford
Police Department is authorized to request funding from
the Texas Criminal Justice Council for a ' joint Narcotics
Investigator.
Section 2. The City of Grapevine and Bedford
understands that, if approved, the Texas Criminal Justice
Council will provide 100% funding for the project for a
period of one (1) year.
