WHEREAS, the City Secretary was instructed to prepare
a suitable resolution expressing commendation for outstand-
,.� ing accomplishments rendered in the field of Education by
� JIMMY PAYNE
WHEREAS, the Texas Section of the American Association
of Physics Teachers has chosen Mr. Payne to receive the 1981
State of Texas Outstanding Physics Teacher Award; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Payne has served in a faithful, impartial,
and professional manner, giving generously of his time and
efforts in all deliberations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City
Council of the City of Grapevine, Texas by this resolution
and public record, recognize the profound influence of Jimmy
Payne upon the students of the Grapevine-Colleyville Indepen-
dent School District and the citizens of this community; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution be spread
upon the minutes of the Council and a copy thereof presented
to Mr. Payne in recognition of his outstanding achievements
and respected place in this community.
