A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE
TO APPLY FOR A GRANT FROM THE OFFICE OF TRAFFIC
SAFETY.
WHEREAS , urban areas across the state are experiencing a
�., dramatic increase in the incidence of intoxicated motorists ; and
� WHEREAS , the City of Grapevine , Texas is also experiencing
� this state trend; and
WHEREAS , the Office of Traffic Safety will provide 100%
funding for the purchase of a Breathalyzer Instrument , related
equipment and supplies , training of operators and a forensic
consultant service.
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS ;
Section l. That the City of Grapevine Police Department
is authorized to request funding from the Office of Traffic
Safety for the purchase of a Breathalyzer Instrument , related
equipment and supplies , training of operators and a forensic
consultant service.
Section 2 . That the City of Grapevine understands that
the Office of Traffic Safety will provide 1Q0% funding for the
project if approved.
Section 3 . That the City Manager is hereby authorized
�"**, to execute said grant application/contract on behalf of the
; City of Grapevine.
