A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE TO APPLY FOR A GRANT FROM
THE TEXAS CRIMINAL JUSTICE DIVISION
WHEREAS , urban areas across the Nation are experiencing
� a dramatic increase in a population and the construction of
new homes , businesses and industries .
�
WHEREAS , the City of Grapevine, Texas is also experiencing
� this Nationwide trend; and
WHEREAS , the Texas Criminal Justice Division will provide
funding for Crime Prevention Specialist.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRA.PEVINE , TEXAS :
Section 1. That the City of Grapevine Police Department
is authorized to request funding from the Texas Criminal
Justice Division for a Crime Prevention Specialist Project.
Section 2. That the City of Grapevine understands
that if approved, the Criminal Justice Division will provide
60% funding for the projects for a period of one year.
